General Travel New Zealand Limited is an inbound tour wholesaler founded in 1973. Their business is selling New Zealand tourism product to travel wholesalers and travel agents overseas, as well as organising tours to New Zealand for conventions and special events.

We developed the Itinerary Planning Database area of their web site, while General Travel staff have developed "static" pages to form the rest of the site.

The itinerary planning database allows users to browse General Travel's entire product manual, obtain seasonal rates and view product information and pictures. Furthermore, it enables customers to build a custom tour and submit it to General Travel for confirmation. Product prices are computed dynamically according to the deal each user company has with General Travel.

The web site is supported by two databases: the product database (34 tables) and the transaction database (15 tables) in which customer registration and tour booking details are held.

The itinerary planning database area makes use of advanced features available only in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or above. You need to use this browser to view the database area.
